Reloading tool Q.

I'm trying to muster up enaugh cash to buy reloading tools for my Winchester 1910.

As i probably never will get my grailgun, (mod 53) i have decided to sell my .22RemJet tools.
What would a fair price be?
They are like new, but used.
I can't find any for sale right now.

(This is not a "ForSale" ad, i just want's to know what to expect)

You are probably correct,

There was actually one modell 53 for sale here in Sweden a year ago.
(First one i have seen for sale here)
Unfortunatly i didn't have the cash then. About $430 was the asking price.

I'd hang on to the 22Jet dies. especially if it's one of those things that you've been looking for since forever.
I've done it, so have others.,,as soon as you sell them,,there's the gun for sale.
If you must,,and the condition is 'like new',,price them to start at about 20-25% below retail and go from there.

I think I mentioned before about using 41magnum pistol dies to form an load 401.
Are they commonly available there,,used,,inexpensive?
The 401WSL die sets are never cheap it seems no matter where you find them unless you happen to stumble accross a set and the seller isn't aware of the value.
If I get a chance later I'll post a pic of some 35Remington brass in the process of being formed to 401WSL with 41Mag dies.

7.62x39mm brass works also but doesn't leave any (semi) rim on the case like the original and the converted 35Remington does. Haven't tried any of it (yet).

I have tried to ask for .41mag tools here, but nothing.
A friend at work that made me tools for converting 7.62x39 brass
and the extractor seems strong enaugh to hold on to the shell despite no rim.
It fired a primer nicely, next step is to try one with powder and bullet.

I hold on to stuff and as soon as I say I don't need this and throw it away, sure enough, in a few days I will.

Here's some 35 Remington gone thru the 41Mag full length sizer die. The expander is removed from the die and the case is run in as far as it will go. It leaves the small portion of the base to be further reduced in diameter. I do it generally on a lathe. The case in the picture was spun and taken down with a safe edge file so as not to cut into the rim.

The one in the pic was cut off at the old neck of the 35 Rem case. It needs to be further trimmed to length for the 401WSL.

7.62x39 brass is so much less work.

40cal pistol bullets are little too small in diameter.
I had a stash of old 401WSL bullets,,those are gone. I'm using some cast RN 41Mag pistol bullets I bought at a show. They work fine it seems as they are. They being a triffle undersized at .408/.409" helps!

My next move will probably be to make a bump-up die to expand 40cal pistol bullets to .407". They are cheap and easy to find.
Your machinist friend should be able to help you out with one of those.
I thought about a die to size 41Mag cast bullets down from .410 to .407. That'd work also and a die for that is easier to make.
It all depends on which bullets are easier to find for you.

Here in middle America the old "All American" die sets are $10 to $15, I'v picked up 2 used 41Mag die sets in the last few years: an All American(Lyman) at $10 and a Bonanza carbide at $20 or $25. Shell holders are extra and run $4 to $8 for the common sizes. I agree with 2152hq, keep the jet dies, maybe someday!!! In Sweden, you may be best served buying used on the net and having them shipped, as opposed to local new. Also think about used bullet moulds in the same way. My best friend has and loves 41Mag. for 20 plus years now.(You don't have to have a sizer press, there is "as cast", by "pan" lubeing or LEE makes a couple of affordable size/lube options. I have no idea your local controls on lead and alloys.)
