Reluctantly Have To Sell My Smith Collection

That's who I thought of with that description. I understand that Tanner's was just sold to new owners, hope they don't change too much, it's a nice shop.

PA Auction Center in New Holland, PA runs a really good gun auction. They use two different on line platforms and in person bidding.

I think they sold it to the guy that was running all GB sales so I hope it stays good there. Don't see the older Smiths anymore there except maybe a pre 27 once in a while.

**Just Beware Gun Auction Sites** You'll have to pay associated fees and sales taxes with them. I've used them to research values & have generally sold through Gun forums instead. Ship through & to FFL's only and a valid payment method that works for you. Good luck

Agreed, just the sales tax cost me an extra $100 on a $1000 when I buy off of auction sites. So when I see something I want on this forum, I facture the savings from sales tax and can pay more to the individual and feel good about that.

Also, the sellers and buyers on here are vetted pretty dang good by the administrators! I have not seen that on GB or others. They also post "Scammer" alerts on here to keep us safe. Sell them on here!

Here or GB are your obvious choices if you know what you want. I don't know how many you call a collection, but I wouldn't be afraid to list them here, all in one group at one price that you would be happy with.

There are plenty of gun collectors, hoarders, that have a lot of disposable money laying around. One shipment or even possibly one FTF and its all done. I would put my state in the sale title and in the ad so maybe you could get a local sale.

Of course getting someone to send you a bunch of money from an internet ad would be a real challenge.

If the group doesn't sell, then list them individually. I have some I'm going to sell on GB, (not S&W's), but as others have implied, I only have a couple of sales on items that are not firearms, so even though I have an A+ rating I don't know how that would work out.
