I think the description of your places upstate is much nicer! I live close by in another restrictive state. NY State is beautiful!

And, over 22 Million people. A big reason I left years ago!

Already have a place on the water in Naples Florida. We’ll spend 5 months there. The other 7 will be in West Virginia more than likely.

Been there. Nice place. My wife's best friend had their Winter Home there. Thank God they were in NY when the Hurricane hit.

They don't have a home in Naples any more.

You don’t have to love Florida. My wife and I do. Life is easier there. I love fishing. My dock is 80 steps from my garage. Our other place will be way better than upstate NY in every way. We’re looking for large tract in WVA mountains to build retirement home. Where I can walk out back door and be hunting. Similar to the places my parents grew up on there. Right after Christmas we’ll head to Florida. As for weather events , every region has their own struggles. 50 people died in Buffalo NY last year during Christmas snow storm. Several others died during November storm. Flooding in Vermont?????? Who would’ve thought a mountainous state would have to worry about that?!?! Midwest tornados, west droughts. You think insurance in Florida is expensive? It cost more to heat a home in Western NY……….. if you feel inclined to fight the good fight. A fight that can’t be won. Have at it. I’ll be busy reeling in Snook and Tarpon.
