Remington 7400 magazine in a 7600

I was wondering if any of you have modified a remington 7400 (semi auto) magazine for use in a remington 7600 (pump)? I know that it can be used as is and that I have to hit the bolt release to close the action after the last shot. I would like to modify some of my extra 7400 clips. Has anyone done this? Thank you.
