Remington "Targetmaster" 148WC "index" 6138

I opened up another, 2.6 grains is the answer.
Running it over the chrono is the next step I guess.

If you want to send me the bullet I will run a hardness test and see if the liquid lube is near anything I have on hand. [3]. PM for an address.

HBWC. I've never used Precision Delta before but they look good. I have a bunch of Remington Wadcutter brass I never use because it's so thin and sometimes I have bullet tension problems with it. I keep it segregated. I'm going to use that brass with these.

I have several thousand HBWC's on hand, and I use them exclusively in my S&W 52. I cast DEWC's and powder coat them, these are for my K Frame PPC revolver, my 27-2 and my 65.

I hadn't seen any wadcutters for sale for quite a while. A few days ago my phone dinged at 5:00 AM. It was an "in-stock" alert that I had forgotten I had signed up for with Precision Delta. I wandered around in the dark looking for my wallet. Stubbed my toe.

I have a partial can of Bullseye, but I think I'll try using up my 700-X on them. Well, I have three pounds of 700-X so I'll have to order a lot more bullets to use it up. Looks like about 3,000 loads per pound. Yowza.

I've loaded thousands upon thousands of 148 HBWCs made by either Precision Delta or Zero. Some were loaded with Bullseye but the vast majority were loaded with 3.0 of 231. I can't tell any difference in accuracy and the 231 burns much cleaner. I'm on email alerts for these at Precision Delta as well but I didn't get no damn email. :)

I use Bullseye mainly and have 231 as a backup. Have 12+ pounds of Bullseye and 9+ pounds of 231. Am I a hoarder? Got some other powders too!

Huge thanks for your service. No, you are not a hoarder, I only have 15 pounds of 231 just because it's a great powder and it was available at the time. Never in a million years would I have thought primers would be so hard to get. My local Runnings has a bunch but it's only two 100 boxes a
trip limit.

I have been loading 38 Special 148 grain Wadcutters from Berrys over 3.2 grains of W231. I used 2.7 grains of Bullseye before that but the Bullseye is a lot dirtier.

I used both Bullseye, W-231 and HP-38 for 148 grain HBWC usually 2.7-2.8 grains for Bullseye and 2.9-3 grains of W-231 and HP-38. For bullets I have used Zero, Precision Delta, Bear Creek as well as Speer and Hornady. They all shoot well. For BBWC a little stronger powder charge works well.

I got my hands on a few hundred of the extinct Remington 148s and I've got a 8# can of B/E in the mail, so I'm looking forward to that.
The last part is a larger expander to reduce skirt-crimping, which reminds me I need to order some material to turn one from!
