Don't want to be the fly in the ointment but I have a 4ART I use for my CS9 and it does not work for my Shield due to larger trigger guard on the Shield. Can't get enough of the Shield in the holster and have about 3/4 inch excess holster length when it is crammed in as far as it will go. I too have been wondering if Remora has a holster that works because I really like their products but had not called them yet to inquire.

I carry my M&P 9c in a #6. It also fits my 6906 and my Kahr PM9-however it sits deep and somewhat loose. But that is okay with me. I also have one for my Ruger LCR. Neither have come loose or shifted while wearing them. Great holster.

I have two Remora Holsters and getting ready to order number three. One is for my Walther PPK/s and is a 7 ART. The other is a 12C/SS for my McCormick Commander. Both are great and stays in place. Since this is my first Summer with them I am hoping they are as comfortable then as they are now. My third Remora will be a #6 for my Walther P5.
I too have had trouble getting a quick response from Alan or Jacqui. I think they do most of their holster work Monday through Thursday.

I spoke with Jacqui today and they're just really swamped. They've expanded, and they've had some website issues to deal with. Remora has excellent customer service. Call or email and they'll get back to you.

I have one for my LC9 and my Shield fits it just fine. It has the sweat shield and reinforced top. Carries very well, too...

I have tried tons of IWB's and the Remora is the only holster that works for me. I have two; one each for a J and K frame. They are the only holster that has ever worked out for me.

Well, you all know how I feel about them: I've got a dozen of them and I very much wish they'd been available 25 years ago when I started carrying. Great product, great service.

OK I too would like one for my Shield. Frankly I am skeptical, though I realize they sell a bunch, I watched videos , looked at the site. I guess I just get it out of my head, that thing just flying out of the waist band , gun and all, when you make some kind of fast or odd movement ? Or it just going down your pant leg, either way making for a bad day !
I'm almost convinced, though confused by which to order. There have been some conflicting posts.
The only minor drawback I see is needing to remove and re-install when delivering a load of logs. Granted its only once or twice a day, but still something I don't have to worry a out with a clip.
Also, what is the consensus on reinf. top vs non-reinf. ?

For which gun are you wanting to get one?
I don't see how a clip holster would be something you don't have to worry about in that scenario and would have to worry about with a Remora. If you need to remove it, it is quicker and easier than a clip holster to remove and to put back in.
Me, personally, I like the reinforced top (RFT) better because it helps when re-holstering. But the non-reinforced top sits a little (and only a little, really) thinner at the top. I also like the ART version (so ART RFT) as it exposes more of the handle of the gun which makes it quite easy to get a grip on it when pulling it out. That's not to say that the non-ART is bad, because it isn't. But the slight difference in cut works better for me.

Hi Wayne,
I've been using Remoras for a few years now, and I've worn them while doing vigorous chores (chopping wood, digging out stumps), hiking up mountains (scrambling over boulders), mountain biking, etc. The combination of friction between the holster's sticky covering (which also sweat-proofs it - a big issue with me) and the pressure from your belt or waistband keeps it in place, and the holster does a fine job of keeping the gun in the holster.
My experience has been that the holster stays put, provided that you have a belt on or properly fitting pants to provide the necessary friction. (I've done summersaults, cartwheels and handstands to demonstrate this to friends.) A caveat to this is that the fitment of the rig in your waistband (which is to say the size of the holster and the gun, the amount of "rise" in your trousers and where you wear your holster) can make a difference in terms of holster movement: for example, my Ruger P90 is pretty big, and if I wear it appendix and take a giant step up with my strong side leg (scrambling up one of those boulders), my leg is going to knock the bottom of the muzzle and the holster is going to shift in my waistband. It's not going to come out and the gun is not going to come out of the holster, but you whack an object with a bigger object, the little one is going to move.
This just means that you have to think about it a little bit. My 3 3/4" Ruger New Vaquero rides great A-IWB in a Remora (let alone my Walther PPS or CZ RAMI or Chiappa Rhino), regardless of what I'm doing (I could be kickboxing and that thing would stay put), but the 4 1/4" P90 wants to shift if I make violent vertical moves with my thigh. Your build and trouser rise is likely to be different from mine so I can't speak to any given gun for you, but if the gun fits comfortably in your waistband without interference from your leg, the Remora will hold it there securely.
For Heaven's sake, they're $30 or something like that: just try one!

Thanks for the Post. i was looking for a new IWB holster for my M&P9 FS and wasn't sure if the Ramora would work for me (I'm 5'4") and my full size pistol. I'm going to contact them tomorrow and see what they recomend for size, shape, RFT ect.

Good deal - went scrambling up Bear Canyon today with my Ruger New Vaquero 3 3/4" .45 ACP in my Remora. Clambering over boulders and such - not problem at all. Stayed right where I'd put it.

6ART. I actually returned it for one with new full sweat shield. I like to keep the gun from touching my body. He's going to send another so I can work on a modification for wearing it between pants and belt.
