Removing 3rd Gen hand grips

I have a few NIB 3rd Gen Performance Center pistols.
I posted my collection a while back.(4566CQB, 4563CQB, Shorty 9, etc)
I was just wondering if their is a tool for removing the original hand grips on these 3rd Gen pistols, I would like to put a Hogue or a curved S&W grip on a couple of the pistols?
Last time I tried to take off the original hand grip off one of my 3rd Gen pistols I had to use a screw driver which caused a few very miner scratches(even though I was very careful) but that pistol was not NIB and I do not want to take a chance on causing any blemishes to my NIB collection.

Smith & Wesson conveniently provided all 3rd gen. pistols with their very own grip removal tool.

First, with a proper sized punch, remove the grip pin from the lower rear corner of the grip.

Next, take that grip pin you just removed, and look for a small hole in the bottom of the grip, just behind the magazine well. Stick that grip pin in the hole. About half the pin should go into the hole, and the other half will stick out.

Now, with your thumb, push backwards on the exposed pin. The grip should pop right off the frame.

Believe me, you are not the only one to struggle with these grips before learning this little trick - ask me how I know.

I find the single stacks can be a little tough. The double stacks are much easier because you can get your fingers in the mag well and push the grips out.

PC guns, I have noticed the grips can be a grizzly bear to get off compared to standard production.

the two CQBs I once owned, new grips were a fight to get off and back on.

The Houge Rubber grips can fit so well that they actually look seamless after they have been on a while. These are two seperate panels. You will need to remove the two screws that hold them on the main spring perch, then use a very thin tool to open and seperate them at the bottom. Then push the grip panel back and down till it is free of the front of the mag well to slide them off.
