Removing Quad Rail

It is pretty simple as long as you have the barrel wrench for it. Just use the barrel wrench to unscrew the barrel nut and wallah, then you will need to buy all of the other parts to use a different handguard. I am selling the wrench second hand along with the other parts if you do not want to spend full retail for the parts.

Hi,
I might be interested in the barrel wrench. How much do you want for it?

I want to remove quad rail and shorten it, then put it back on.
You can buy a barrel nut remover or make one. My barrel nut was only on with about 3 lbs of torque. I made one out of pvc pipe. Mine was not even cut well enough to fit into all of the 4 slots in the nut, yet it twisted right off. Once you have the nut off you can fine tune you homemade wrench. It is supposed to be torqued to 25 lbs, I'm told.

I looked at my old rail. It would be VERY easy to shorten it, but the snap in end cap will take some reengineering to make it fit back in.
