Replaced another lost one from my youth - Model 19 snub, extra shiny

I had a similar gun path. A model 28-2 was my first S&W and my second was (and still is) a 2 1/2" 19-3 blued. The 28-2 was gone long ago, traded for a 4" 19 that also got traded long ago - for what, I don't remember now. Bought my snub 19 in February 1976. Yikes...42 years ago. I've always wanted a nickel 19 snub to go with it. So, if you need any transmission work, I'll be happy to buy it off of you!

I remembered my 646 (L-frame RB .40 cal) came with two sets of grips. I usually leave the black rubbers ones on it, so I tried the fancy wood ones on this gun. They fit perfectly.

They feel good, too. I prefer the magna and T-grip set up, but until the right pair of RB magnas comes along, I think I'll stick with these. They don't add any bulk.

I have a stash of Federal +P+ 147 grain Hydra-Shoks. I tried some yesterday and they shot right to the point of aim at 50 feet, were easy to shoot, and the empties slid right out without using the ejector rod.
