Replacement Front Sight

Looking for a replacement front sight with a gold bead for my .41 Magnum Hunter 657-3 (6.5" barrel, unfluted, HORRIBLE orange ramp dovetailed front sight).

I have Googled, emailed (Including S&W Support), live chatted (Brownells and Midway) and searched every Forum I can find with no luck. Gotten a NO from: Bowen, Brownells, Midway, Williams, Wilson and Numrich

Looking for replacement sight (I can drift out the old and drift in the new) or even the specs of the dovetail (S&W could NOT provide that info!?!?!).
My best measurements with my little digital calipers are:
Bottom of dovetail .376
Top of dovetail: .310
Height of dovetail: .12
Height of sight is .45

Next step is simply to drive an hour to a good Gunsmith and tell him to figure it out. Any suggestions or directions to point me towards? Many thanks.

SDM emailed me saying:
I am sorry to say that I do not offer a sight that will fit your .41.
I do not know of any aftermarket options for you. Those sights were made by Millet and they have been out of business for years. And of course they used a different dovetail than everybody else. So none of the typical dovetails will fit, like the various sizes used on 1911's or rifles.
I only get 1 or 2 requests a year for those sights, so I have no plans to make them.

I got the fiber optic one from Dawson Precision for my 627 and it works great. Might not be the same dovetail they have a good return policy (unaltered sight) ask them they might know if it works.

The Beat Goes On

Dawson and Revolver Supply have fairly comparable Fiber Optics that they believe will fit. Novaks said NO. The response from Heinie said, "We do not have anything for the Remington." <FACE PALM>. I resent my request.

Still holding out for a gold dot. Will at least ask my normal Gunsmith what he thinks he can do before ordering the fiber optic. Keep those cards and letter coming.

Got replacement sight from XS. The only option and looks like a good one. Love the new front sight! They will make one for you if you need to replace the "Millet" on your PC Revolver.

The rear of the sight blade could be milled off to give a sort of Patridge type profile. A gold or brass bead could be installed on the rear of the blade.

I sent my model 19 in to S&W about twenty years ago for a tune up and
had them put a McGivern gold bead on it while there. You need to know
that there must be some kind of light behind you or the gold bead doesn't
show up very well.
