Hello everyone

I just registered a few minutes ago, my name is Mark. I,m 38, a US Navy Veteran (1989-1993), currently living in Toledo, Ohio, but really missing Homer, Alaska right now LOL.

I Served as a Plane Captain* for the legendary F-14A Tomcat Fighter Aircraft, hench my screen name "TomcatPC". I Served with VF-302 Fighting Stallions at NAS Miramar, San Diego, California from 1990-1993.

My Dad is 86 and also a US Navy Veteran. He was a gunner in a TBM Avenger in the latter part of the War in the Pacific Theatre.

I got involved in WWII Reenacting a few years back. Being of English ancestry from both parents families, I chose to portray British Forces (Somerset Light Infantry). Which led to me buying a .380" (aka .38 S&W) version of the the M&P Victory Model revolver.

My other S&W is a mid-late 1960's Model 10-5 with a 4" standard weight barrel. I hope to be able to buy a US Victory Model sometime in the future, untill then I'm grateful for what I have.

Not much else to say really...LOL. Glad to be here.

*The term "Plane Captain" might be miss leading to some. It is the US Navy term (I think also the US Marine Corps term as well) for what the US Army and US Air Force calls a "Crew Chief". I was NOT an Officer, Pilot, RIO, BN, or any other air-crew. I did not fly, just had to get the Tomcat ready to fly.

Welcome from a USAF Jet Engine Mechanic that spent a couple years in England. You sound to be somewhat deprived of S&W's. Didn't you know everyone should have at least one of every frame size? New goal.

Hello again.

Right now...I'm grateful to have the two K-frames I do have...LOL. Next...would love to get one or two N-Frames. The N-Frames I'd like to have are...1. .38/44 Heavy Duty (dream on...LOL), and/or 2. Model 28 .357 S&W Magnum for backpacking/general outdoor use. I think the Model 28 is more "attainable" for me right now. However, my next firearm purchase is going to be a 1943 Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I Rifle. Then after that, I can start the search for another S&W Revolver. Which, God-willing is either a Model 28, or a US .38 Special version of the WWII Victory Model, simply because my Dad carried one (actually went through three) during the War. Until I get a decent career, I'm happy with my Model 10-5 and Victory Model.

So...my goal is finding a decent career (in progress)...then start to buy a few more revolvers in different frame size...LOL.
Thanks
Mark
