What was the inspiration for your Username?

There use to be a show called renegade. One of the characters was Bobby Sixkiller. Since sixkiller is kinda like “six shooter” and my name is Bobby it fit because I have more sixkillers than years of my life. Use that handle for every forum I’m on.

An old friend started calling me "Spleenless Dave" after a bad car wreck on Valentine's Day, 1990 almost killed me, damaging my spleen, crushing my pelvis, cracking my skull, breaking my left cheekbone, upper and lower eye socket orbitals, jaw, dislocating my left leg, breaking my right ankle, dislocating 3 arch bones in the right foot and collapsing my lungs. Now I'm filled with titanium in my face and skull and my pelvis. I bought a tee shirt not long ago that said "Vintage 1965, all original parts (mostly)". :)

All the guys/gals on my shift had a fantasy football team and that was my teams name from almost 20 years ago now but it’s a name I can remember.

My real name is Ted. One day, a co-worker buddy of mine just started calling me "Thaddeus" for no apparent reason, so it stuck. Then later, it somehow got expanded to "Thaddeus Beauregard" just because it sounded formal in a funny way. My buddy has since retired and I don't hear from him as often. So, I chose my user name partly because I couldn't think of anything else, partly because it made me laugh when he would call me that, and partly to honor my friend and the fun times we had bs'ing at work.

Talking to my brother who lives in Dallas during a North Dakota blizzard on the phone.....

He say's OK Nanuk or the friggen north......

Most people guess mine came from a losing a bout with a Garand bolt, but that is not the case.

In the 80’s I was in the fire service. I was crawling in an overturned car at a crash scene to get a child out of a car seat. As I was being pulled out rapidly by my feet because there was gasoline leaking, I grabbed the edge of the top (now on the bottom) to help pull with my free hand. The car shifted a little and crushed the living crap out of my thumb. All they could do was wrap it until it healed up. I bled, the bandages leaked, and everything I touched for a couple weeks around the fire house would wind up with a little bloody spot on it. (This was long before we all were trained to be afraid of blood). So, they started calling me that. I just decided to use it online about 30 years ago.

Well, my first name, now and for the last 71 years, is and has been John. For convenience sake I decided to use it instead of coming up with a new one.
There are many, many John's in this world. After much careful thought and consideration, I decided to use my geographic location to differentiate myself from the other Johns. Since I am almost always in Yuma, that city was chosen.
I hope this process was not too difficult to understand.

So it wasn't because of the tv series "THE REBEL" with Nick Adams as Johnny Yuma?

I was an avid whitewater kayaker throughout my 20s and early thirties. Teaching many years and competing some years. This was about the time of AOL and Mindspring. The whitewater kayak days ended after having kids and a move to the Midwest. I no longer use it with newer logins but am stuck with it on others. No… not S/M or corporal punishment… kayaking.

So you're saying that you don't like to be paddled then? Ok, not my concern either way just asking.
