Dear Smith and Wesson I wish that the Smith and Wesson Company would make a reproduction of the s&w registered magnum that was owned by General George Patton but without that darn ugly lock system. sincerely and respectfully mg357 a proud member of the Smith and Wesson Forum

I have been wishing for the same gun. A while back, I think in 1993 there was a half hearted attempt to make a Model 27 Patton gun, but it was 4-inches, and his was a 3 1/2. I think by the time you were done, you would be better off getting a 27-2 or something like that and having the front sight retrofitted to the earlier style, it might actually be cheaper that way.
