This Nice revolver is for sale at a shop here in Holland. Looks to me like a pre-10. It's listed as 38 special.
I requested the serial number. I got mailed C1953# More pictures were not mailed.
I do not know if there are more digits not given. With those first numbers I get to 1948. This is a M&P commercial model?
Am I right about age and model?

From the picture I think it's not refinished and has correct grips and a nice fish hook hammer.
What would the value be in the US? (It's for sale here for about $225)
That is not expensive, even here.

Yes, a .38 Military & Police from 1948. The finish is correct for that era. If it is mechanically sound $225 (or its euro equivalent) is a good price.

Yes I would !
Similar ones here have been around $300
the last year or so, tho I haven't seen any
for 2-3 months.
From the pic, the finish looks very good.

Shouldn't it be a one liner? "Made in USA" not the 4 lines? With that s/n?
My mistake.. that would be an "S" S/N prefix. At $225 I would buy it... quickly.

No, I think the four-line address began late in the S prefix M & Ps, after the transitionals.
