Here's an editorial cartoon from my local newspaper. Notice the novel design unlikely to be copied by gun manufacturers.

I like the "Belt and Suspenders" approach to loading. It not only has a swing-out cylinder but there's also a loading gate as a back-up. Never mind that the cylinder latch blocks the loading gate. Strange that the designer couldn't figure out that he could've put the loading gate on the proper side of the gun. Also, money's not wasted on a forward cylinder lock. Even so, its a most clever design.

it also seems to take some frame design cues from the Taurus curve, and at least three fingers can be used to pull the trigger ... (NYPD trigger workaround perhaps?)

The problem is with the cartoonist who most likely never held a revolver and was probably using different photos for reference. It reminds me of some of the comic books I use to read in the early 90s when the superhero is holding God knows what kind of firearm and dressed in the most ridiculous tactical gear you could imagine...

Technically incorrect as the drawing in the OP may be, I think the artist hit on a nugget of truth, if I may say so.
