Some really fine examples here. I think on the one shown at the very top I might like a dowel rod between the guns to stop flopping over. JMHO

boykinlp, those racks don't look the same as the one posted above. I don't think the same maker. In fact, I asked the builder to make them with maroon velvet, which he finally found some. Normally, his racks used green velvet. His choices were walnut or oak, if I remember correctly.

Years ago I was trying to fit too many guns in too few safes. Came up with this system. As compact and space efficient as possible. Very little material cost. Just some 1" pieces cut to length, wooden dowels, and peel and stick insulation for padding. I have zero woodworking skill but I was able to cobble these together.

PS: On the shelf in the safe two rows will face each other with barrels running beside one another. .

If you Google the subject "gun racks made in America", there are a number of clever and innovative designs. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety that were available.
