How about a stainless steel combo? Ruger Standard Pistol in stainless steel, made in 1981, last of the Standards before Ruger moved on to the MKII. Pictured with a stainless G.I. pocket knife, Cammillus made, dated 1987. Holster is a Bianchi "Outdoorsman".....
Wife bought me the Ruger Stainless Standard at an auction last Summer as a surprise. Unfired when I got it, since has been fired and carried enthusiastically by me!
Some of my favorites have been in the family for a very long time. The Winchester model 90 dates 1939 and was passed down from Gramps to Dad to Me. Shoots .22 shorts and claimed a boatload of rabbits and squirrels.
The Colt Frontier has been in the family since new back in '73 or '74.
The Remington knife is from my other Grandpa and is really old as well.
Here is a K22 from 1948 and an old KABAR bowie that my wife inherited from an uncle . Has YELLOWSTONE PARK on the blade and her uncles info from WWII on the scabbard.
