Rimz Moon Clips.

I have used them sucessfully with no problems on the fit, but I kinda use my clips as a short term storage system, and they do not retain the rounds as tightly as metal. To use the metal moonclips, I finally bought one of the B M T mooner -- demooner tools (which is great).

Thanks for the replies. I've been trying to decide which way to go in the moon clip area. Rimz, or metal moon clips with a B M T or a Deluxe Moon Clip Tool. For those who use the B M T since it's not entirely made of metal are there any long term durability concerns?
Thanks again.

I use the Rimz moon clips at the range in my 625 JM with no problem, although they do tend to wear out after a lot of use. I like the fact that you don't need a tool to load/unload them like the metal clips. The metal clips would probably be a better choice for competition work.

I purchased some Rimz and while they work fine, once I got my BMT tool I liked it so much that the Rimz became pointless. The Rimz aren't exactly cheap either, so I'd say save your money and put it toward the BMT instead.

As far as durability goes... the BMT is machined from a solid block of Delrin. The demooner side has a metal insert that actually puts the pressure on the cases to pop them out and a metal post for the loader part, and the loading side has magnets to retain the empty clip , but the rest is Delrin. Delrin is used in lots of high wear applications because of it's durability. I have no doubt that barring abuse, it'll outlast me. Even if it did eventually wear out, I like it so much that I wouldn't even think about not replacing it. It's a great tool and I highly recommend it! Trust me, use it to load a hundred rounds or so and you'll be a believer.
