Thanks for the memories, Junior.

Ran into him at the store in October while visiting my sister (she lives near him). He seemed happy and was preparing for a cookout with family and friends that weekend. Obviously was holding a lot inside that we'll never know. Just goes to show, you may look like you have it all on the outside but underneath can be intense pain (Proverbs 14:13).

This is tragic. He was only 43. He will be remembered as one of the most ferocious USC linebackers to play the game. Peace be to him and his family.

As a Denver Bronco fan, Jr caused me a lot of consternation over the years. We never know what is in other's mind or the demons that haunt them...............the Warrior's Exit is always an alternative,...... but damn, what a waste. Rest in Peace Junior Seau........you played the game well. Keep shootin' and check 6.

Always sorry to hear of this type situation. We never know what demons are on the inside, nor pain we cannot detect.

My prayer is for his family, friends, and team mates. There will be much soul searching and probably some guilt that clues were missed. In truth, the clues may have been completely hidden, but that does not stop the anguish of those left behind.

Very sad, RIP Junior. If you ask me, things just don't add up. Don't you think they're a little quick to determine suicide. I'll bet we haven't heard the last of this.

I would hope they are allowed to throughly autopsy the brain to see what if any damage might have been there.
As far as the NFL is concerned, over the years I have witnessed several ex players and the one common thread is that ALL of them were flat busted broke and exhibited a total lack of financial and personal disicipline. The star you once ohhed and ahhed about on a Sunday is now sitting in non support court with the other dead beats, or in criminal court with the drug problem. Scratch the surface and for most of them , once the football is over, you see just what a lack of education does to you. Sad really.

I was thinking the same thing about a autopsy of the brain. Head injuries over the years caused by playing football take a toll on a person in the long run over the years.
Very sad, I hated to hear the news report about Junior; may he rest in peace.

A truly great player! Very sad for his family & friends.
More details will come out on this, but at the moment it just doesn't add up. Sad all around.

Dave Duerson's (formerly of the Chgo Bears) family has a suit in-play against the NFL based upon neglect of head injury. I don't honestly know how much merit there is to it, but this recent death will fuel the case.
