Dang!
As we all know, there are those moments in life where you never forget where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news.
That night back then, in July of 1969, is a unique moment in the history of man. Everyone remembers, surely. But what separates it from all the rest, is that everywhere there was TV,
everything stopped, and everyone watched. The whole entire world just came to a halt. And cheered. Over the years I've spoken to people who were in Britan, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Africa, Japan, Mexico, and more; their stories are all the same. Everything just stopped, and everyone was watching it live. People across the world cheered for America and Americans.
I don't think there has ever been anything like it before, maybe when we land on Mars it might be the same kind of thing, but somehow I doubt it will have the same amount of magic in it.
Rest in peace, Commander! And hats off to you!
