RIP Robbie Coltrane

RIP at 72.

Most will know him as the actor who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies. I knew him from before that in a number of nasty UK gangland films and the original Cracker series in the UK. He was also in the cult sci-fi romp Krull.

Sad indeed. He was a credit to his trade and was an endearing person.

We are HP fans (all the books, all the movies). Hagrid is one of Ruthie's favorites.

I remember him especially from "Cracker", back in the 90's, where he played "Fitz", a chain-smoking forensic psychologist.
