Working up a load for plinking in a CZ SP-01. Materials to be used are RMR 124 grain thickly plated round nose, mixed brass, and Ramshot Silhouette powder. Did a push test for OAL and it seems 1.145 is ideal. This would also work out of my M&P 9mm. Looked up load data and Ramshot shows with that OAL of 1.145 using Silhouette, the closest is 124gr REM GS from 5 grains to max of 5.9 grains. I've read that RAMSHOT data is conservative and people usually load a little higher than max. Here is my test loads:

5.0 grains and 5.2 grains

Anyone have any input or experience with this load/setup? Please keep in mind this is for a CZ so usually OAL is shorter than most.

I have no idea. However, there is a reloading forum you may wish to use.

The closest I have is:

124 Montana Gold CMJ
1.135 OAL
CCI 500 primer
Mixed brass
5.4 grains Silhouette

This load averaged 1100 out of PPQ 5" and M&P Pro Core 5"
a little more out of the PPQ, a little less out of the M&P.
Both guns shoot it very well.

That power factor is around 138 as I recall and I'd like to get that down closer to 130 for IDPA/USPSA so will be experimenting once Santa brings me a chrono for Christmas.

I've gone up to 5.7 grains with everything else the same in the PPQ. No chrono numbers handy for those but offhand could detect no accuracy issues and there were no overpressure signs.
(I wasn't expecting any)

I have done the 5.4 load at 1.145 with no chrono data also in the PPQ. Offhand there seemed to be no diff compared to 1.135.

Ultimate accuracy is not my motivation for this load. I just wanted reliability and to be able to hit an 8" gong at 15 yards every time.
