ROBO Calls

VOICE WITH HEAVY MUMBAI ACCENT: "Hello, my name is David and I am with the Windows..."

ME: (Something really unpleasant and anatomically improbable.)

That was yesterday, and the number looked like one I thought I remembered. Reinforced my normal practice of no answering unless I'm certain I know the caller.

Since most of the scam calls are computerized using a VPN, When someone actually answers, It takes a couple os seconds for the computer to switch to a real person. That gives me time to hang up before I hear anything and it make them waste some time. If there is a person there, I hang up before they can complete a sentence.

When I get the call about my window "Issues", I ask them to tell me what my IP address is because IF they know that I have a problem then they must know my IP address. They usually hang up after the question.

I get the IRS scam at least once a week and I also keep winning a free cruise to the Bahamas every Month.
I received two calls from Someone claiming to be collection for a Police benefit charity and when I checked Them out it turned out to be a scam also.I cant remember the name though.

I'm surprised at how many of you guys actually answer those Robo calls.
I have a couple of ads going, Land for sale.
When Pinehill, NM called and the caller ID displayed on my tv, I was ready to answer because it was a NM caller.
NOMOROBO cuts off the Robo calls with one ring.
So when it cut off after one ring I realized that I just got a Robo call from Pinehill.
Then I looked up Pinehill.
It's on the Navajo Reservation, South of Black Rock.
Black Rock is On the Zuni Reservation.
