A very old tradition in Osceola County Florida is to close the schools for "Rodeo Day" instead of President's Day on Monday. I got today off. In the past, the young'uns got into the Fair for free today, not this year. I figured; sleep late and head out to Triple N for "low ammo use" range day. No rifles, 1 box .38 spl, 1 box 9mm and a fresh new 550 "WallyBox" of .22's. I got there at around 10, and beside me and the RSO, was a guy who went there but forgot to bring guns. "Forgot your guns? I have a .38, 9mm, a Ruger .22 and a snub SW 34. I assume you got ammo" He says "Whatcha got for a 9mm?" "A CZ 75." Him "That's OK" and went back to shootin' the **** with the RSO. He ran over when a Tupperware toter showed up and asked to use his hardware. I had no idea a CZ 75 wasn't worth shooting. I ran out of centerfire ammo pretty quick. The CZ used up 50 rds in 4 mags, love that gun. Model 15 really impressed the RSO, he's maybe 6-8 yrs older than me. I used more than the 100 rd "ration" out of the Wally box. Loaded the 4 Ruger mags 3 times and the Model 34 really impressed me so much I had trouble stopping. Bet I ran 100 rds or more through it. Usually can't hit anything with it, today was magic. The road in from the hiway is about 3 miles, signs posted "watch out for wildlife." Usually teeming with species. Today-nothing. No turkeys, hawks, deer, nothing. It was warm, maybe 85* and overcast. Might have confused the critters into thinking it's Spring already. On the ride back a wave of Gratitude swept over me with the realization that 95% of the folks on earth wish they had a "range day." Only 87 more working days until September 1st when everyday will be Saturday. Joe

I remember when friends talked of so many days and wake up to the freedom bird home (land of the all night PX!)

I don't know what line of work you do BUT rule NUMBER ONE is DO NOT GET HURT! no paper cuts, no nothing. RULE NUMBER TWO: make sure you leave the last time on your terms. Don't let them make life unbearable and punish you for enjoying the rest of your life. If married, Rule C, enter a 24/7 relationship with predetermined times for both his and her personal space and predetermined together time! (no smothering each other!)

1) The drive to and from work is the most dangerous part of my workday.
2) I'm miserable now, that's why I'm done.
3) Wife gotta work almost 5 more years, she's 10 years younger.
Both of us on our 3 rd marriage, we are well versed on what NOT to do. Joe
