I recently purchased a rogers and spencer black powder revolver. I would like to buy a right hand flap holster for it. I know that isn't historically accurate. Could a holster for an 1860 or 1858 holster be soaked and stretched to fit? Thanks
Quite possibly if the holster is decent leather.
"Back In The Day" we formed fit revolvers by wetting them and pushing the plastic wrapped revolver in and allowing the holster to dry over night.
Then rubbing the inside of the holster with a mixture of animal skin oil and white gralite dust.
