Rossi 720 value?

I have a Rossi 720 unfluted cylinder lnib if it’s been shot it was a very few times need today current market value on this please . it has a pinned barrel and front sight!!

In the DFW area there have been a few listed on the local gun boards at $400-$450 range. They did not look as good as your gun. They were always sold by the time I called on them. I think since Ruger came out with their 3" .44 it might have softened the market a little.

Can't say I've seen any go for $500 (at least in my area).

I bought one last November (or so), LNIB for $390 OTD.

Yours looks good, but I can't imagine paying more then $400 (or so) for one OTD, and I like them.

There are a few outliers that sell on Gunbroker for around 500 but not many. Most sell in the $365-385 range. Some higher and some lower of course.

They are one of my favorite carry guns in a Bianchi holster fitted with a belt clip and carried in the waist band. Easy to draw when riding in a vehicle.

I also added a Millett white outline rear sight.

I just sold a fluted, hammer 720 (90%+) with no box for $405 on gunbroker. I would think you could get close to $500 for yours.

Beware, there are guys out there that had horrible experiences with the 720 unfluted, Interarms Rossi, so they're not all biscuits and gravy to everybody. I'm only telling you this so you don't get your feelings hurt if someone gives it negative feedback. fwiw

I've owned a couple 720's that worked well enough, but a friend had one that had problems with the cylinder binding up. I'm also aware of others who have reported various issues with them.

That's exactly what mine would do under load, dry fire was as smooth as silk, but whenever you shot it, it would lock up just about every time. Never could get it straightened out so I dumped it (for a nice profit though)

The Rossi 720 is considered by many in the know as nearly equal to S&W quality. They are a fantastic packsman’s big bore, built on a true K’s frame, tremendously superior to the Charters and lighter and handier than a GP, and nowhere near as expensive as the rare S&W 5-shooter .44s.

A finer fieldsman’s or fightist’s pistol doth not art makith, methinks.

Amuses me how a guy has a bad gun, so now they’re all bad. Yet many have issues with higher end guns and the factory is given a pass. I have a 720 Covert and can say outside of a couple nicks on the exterior it is on par in fit form and function with many of the more highly regarded brands. I bought it used so the dings may have been from the previous owner(s).
I don’t carry OWB preferring pocket carry, but I wouldn’t feel “vulnerable” if I decided to pack my 720.
The pre-Taurus (Interarms) Rossi’s are nice revolvers. I can’t speak for the post merger ones. Never owned one.
Some guys like blondes. Some like red-heads. Some like bald.

Reading comprehension? I never said they're all bad guns, I simply gave him a "caveat" to be aware of as to why he might get a bad comment from somebody. I only told him of my experience and never said they were "all" like that. Perhaps, you should back and read my original comment again for clarification.

I'll be the first to say mine had a silkier and smoother action in single or double than any other revolver I've held, it only had issues locking up under load? Nobody could figure it out or fix it. I was truly bummed because it was a beautiful gun.

Payed $300 for an unfluted cylinder model 3 years ago in excellent shape. Never have had a problem with it and as I stated in the past, this gun shoots better than my 6 1/2” Model 24-3.
In the winter it’s my occasional CC gun.
