Two of the shops I frequent currently (as of earlier this week) have one in stock, as does the local gander mountain.

As of a few months ago Shydas in Lebanon (SE Pa) had a bunch of no lock 442s and 642s. Same price as those with locks.

Strange after many months - more like a year plus, I found a no lock 442 and immediately after ran into Shydas which had a bunch of both 442s and 642s no locks. I now have one of each. Get them while you can.

But in both the firing pins were short. I called Smith and said very faint strike. Both times send mailer and put in longer firing pin at no cost. Turn around under two weeks.

Guys on this forum thought some kind of CA "drop safety" requirement.
