We have been talking about getting one for years and we both love the Mannlicher style of stock so Wendy picked this one up for my birthday coming up this Saturday.

A very attractive and nice handling little rifle, now to find the time for some shooting and probably mount a scope. We are both partial to the Simmons 4 x 32 rimfire scopes for a little .22 LR.

I have its twin that I traded for in Victoria, TX a few years back!

I purchased one, when Walmart sold them,,,

The Carbine or the Mannlicher style was the same price,,, $149.

I just had to have it.
Mine has only been out of the box long enough to install the strap.

IIRC,, they are all Model 1132, no matter what the stock is made out of,,

Congrats, and happy birthday.

Even if you keep your 10/22 stock, consider doing the bolt release (auto release) modification. The two handed bolt release gets old real quick. The new part is cheap ($10) or, you could easily mod the original.

I have a fondness for the International/mannlicher 10/22s ..... my wife gave me one for my Birthday in the mid-90s ....... pick up 2 used but still like new over the last 15 years.

We can finally hunt with semi's in Pa..... so they will be seeing more Penn's Woods time in the coming years...

A classy scope on these little guns are Leupold 1-4x20 scopes... giving the package a very European look!

Great looking gun. I agree on the bold release mod but understand if you have the bolt locked back and you give the rear of the stock a firm hit, the bolt will more than likely slam home. Not fire but it is disconcerting to say the least.

Nice score! Recall having Gun Digest from 1972 and they had all the Ruger rifles in glossy full page color photos. I know they made the .44 carbine in that style also. Called International I believe. Am sure that is sought after by collectors.
