Ruger 10/22

1022's also make great project guns. They are very easy to work on and after market accessories abound. I acquired this one some years ago that had a bent barrel. I took it on as a project and stripped it down and rebuilt it and I think the receiver and the bolt are the only original parts. I put a 16 inch threaded heavy barrel and it is a tack driver.

The project gun was intended to be set up as a squirrel slayer but I have to admit I've not taken the first squirrel with it yet. Seems my youngest son as taken loan of it and he regularly comes in with a mess of bushy tails.

I bought my first 10-22 in my early 20s at Woolworth for about $100 out the door

Since them I have added many variations and some that I dressed up myself

I even milled my own 10-22 receiver (with a few improvements) to build a target rifle

I currently own 3 rimfire suppressors. All are of my own design and built by me. All are removeable

I have always toyed with the idea of an integrally suppressed 10=22 or MK-II but have never gotten around to designing and building one

Not that they are quieter or better, just cooler :D

I have built integrally suppressed AR style rifles in 9MM and bolt action rifles chambered in 300 BlackOut

My 300 BlackOps is amazingly quiet. This video is a compilation of shooters. The first sound that you hear is the rifle firing. The second Louder sound is the projectile striking the cardboard backers that we have placed at 50 yards. With our Subsonic Match ammunition this rifle holds 1/2 MOA and is very effective to 200 yards
