Ruger 10 mm

Didn't know Ruger made a 10mm. Cash price at Buds is $759 si I'd expect a local shop to have them around the $800 mark provided they don't sell at full MSRP like some do.

$750.00 to $795.00 out-the-door in my neck of the woods. Seems like a lot of pistol for the price, and it's backed up by Ruger's excellent customer service.

I picked one up last week, made it to the range this morning and ran about 75 rounds through it.

It's an excellent shooter, built well and more accurate than I am. I shot plates, and hit more often than I missed. Very comfortable in hand, and handled the recoil well. I had no failures of any kind, shooting Sig target, Double Tap 165gr, and Underwood 200gr with multiple magazines.

Fit and finish is typical Ruger, very nice but not extravagant or extreme. The slide is tight, has a good trigger and it has nice sights on it.

It is just as accurate and reliable as my Dan Wesson Razorback, at a much nicer price. I still prefer my Sig 10mm over it, but thats comparing apples to oranges.

For the money, its a no brainer. won't comment on how much I paid, I got it from a good friend who has an FFL. Haven't seen one in stores yet.

Was looking at a Ruger 1911 45 last week at the gun show and was impressed enough I almost bought it, until I remembered that they just brought out the 10mm. I asked the guy behind the table if he had a 10 and he said he didn't know Ruger was building the 1911 in 10mm. Needless to say , I walked away with money still in my pocket......to be spent another day when I find a 10.:)

I do not own a ruger in 10mm but do own sr1911 in 45 acp. At over 3000 rounds down range now with not one failure I would have to say the design is top drawer. I did a lot of research before buying mine and there was a lot of talk on the Internet before the sr1911 came out. Then everybody started getting them giving good reviews. Then all the chatter just died off. Nothing for people to complain about so not really much talk at all for years now. I say go for it. Ruger will make it right if you have any problems!
