Ruger Blackhawk:

A Ruger SA revolver today feels the same
as the very first production Ruger SA made.

If you had one 20.....30....years ago...
....and you go hold one today
at Bass Pro or somewhere.....and can't tell
that they 'feel' EXACTLY the same, well.......

These two feel exactly, precisely the same.....
one is over 50 yrs old, the other less than 2yrs.

Yep, for the trained eye....
[the pic]
one is a Single-Six
and the other a Blackhawk.
I had this pic handy, and those that know...
simply know the similarity.
I have other pics if it somehow seems
necessary to depict exactness.
Still, nothing has changed with any
feel on the SA's at Ruger.

Another +1 for the 357/38/9mm Blackhawk. I bought mine with the 9mm cylinder as a test gun for my 9mm handloads. I could work up a load, fire it out of that heavy Ruger frame/cylinder and check for pressure signs. That was many years ago and I had an aluminum framed Star BKM 9mm at the time so I wanted to be very careful with my loads. Now, it's just fun to shoot 9mm out of it. There's a pic of my Blackhawk with a set of Esmerelda grips in my photo album.

I bought a new model, short barreled Blackhawk in 45 Colt. It came with the extra .45acp cylinder. The extra acp cylinder shoots well and is a valuable addition.
