Not a chance that I would purchase a 7 shot GP-100, as they have had far too many problems with the 7 shooters.
While they may have fixed that problem with the newer ones, I have no desire to pay the price to fins out.
So for me, it would have been the 686.
BTW - Yes, I do own 2 GP-100's, a 4" and a 3" W.C., but both are 6 shooters.
For full disclosure - I find the "Security Six" series far superior to the GP-100's, at least for me.
