Did you have the oppurtunity to handle the LC9 before ordering? None of the local gunshops around here have even seen one yet. Kinda want the wife to look at one and maybe me also....

No, I haven't handled one yet. I ordered it sight unseen something I don't normally do but I thoughtit was worth a try.

Where did you order it? I checked Bud's, and they don't have it available yet. My local gun shops say they won't get any until March or later.

Thanks.

Shooters in Racine, I figure by the 1st of March it might be in.

OK, thanks...I've got reservations at two of the local guns shops I frequent for an LC9 and a Kimber Solo...I have handled the Solo but not the LC9. I don't think I'm going to buy the Solo...I've had some heartburn with Kimber in the past, and I am reading some first reports of problems with the Solo. Of course, the LC9 may very well have some issues too (LCP?) but at least you can count on Ruger to take care of you.

May I ask how much?
Does any one know if it is going to be snappy to shoot like the Kel tek
PF9?

Stan;

We are waiting for delivery of the LC9 dummy gun. We should have it shortly. I was informed that it is scheduled to be cast by the foundry, following the conclusion of the SHOTSHOW. We'll have at least 2 IWB models and possibly a pancake scabbard for the LC9 up and running very soon. Our supplier tells us (2 weeks ago) that the waiting list is long, so depending on how many are cast by the foundry in the initial run, will determine how quickly different makers will be offering holsters for them. You can click on the link below to visit our web catalog to see similar sized weapons in different style holsters.

Cheers;
Lefty

I handled one today at my favorite shop. The good thing was I liked the trigger.. the bad thing is that was it. It's rather large in my opinion. They could have made it a lot smaller. It's thinner than some small 9mms, but the overall size is too big.

I will look at BCO again once I get the piece, I saw that in the blurb on the website it mentioned new models for the LC9. Not really into phobus stff, so I will wait until I can find a decent IWB for it.

I hope to have the pistol by the end of the week, then order a few spare mags. I did order trijicon sights for my LCR.

I learned a hard lesson about buying a holster without taking the firearm into the store to see if it was going to fit. I got to buy a second holster for my PF9 because the first one ended up to be too small.

More than likely I will wait until the holster guys on here start to offer them and buy one. That way I will be able to fire the gun first and make sure it is reliable enough to carry.

Then I will come here to look for one, I have a box of factory holsters in my basement that I have bought over the years and didn't feel right. but my BCO and Lobo leather stuff from the forum is top notch.
