Ruger Mark II w/ Vortex Red Dot

I had my gunsmith put this rail on my MkII a couple of years ago. Tried several red dots, used a Romeo for a while, got this inexpensive Sightron last year as it weighs half what the Romeo does, and is accurate enough for my plinking with bad eyes. Sorry, no pics, but it helps me bounce a roller across the outdoor range as far as I can see it. I usually use both CCI and Federal HV Match.

If you are shooting the Browning ammo in the photo just about anything will group better in my tests.:)

Well, you know, that's one of the really fun things about a .22. You just never know what's going to shoot good or bad until you try out a few different brands. The Browning ammo didn't do well at all in my 10-22, but held its own in the Mark II. CCI Mini-Mags, which usually shoot terrific in anything I put them in, didn't group as good as the Browning or the American Eagle. Years ago I had a Remington 581 and it preferred CCI Blazers over anything else.

Have a Venom on my Mark IV tactical model and love it......I was going to shoot my recently acquired Mark IV Hunter with irons.....well I just ordered another Venom from Amazon for $212 shipped for the Hunter.....and the Burris low dove tail mount works better for me than the pic rail..

I like my sight to be lower to the bore so I went with an EGW Dovetail Mount. Check them out.
