I just bought a used blue 10" MK II with a Leupold scope. The label on the factory box calls it a MK 10.

The model number is 00144. Front sight is missing. Will any MK II sight and screw fit? Or is there a special sight for this pistol?

If the barrel still has the screw hole for the original sight, just buy a new sight ; I assume it is a target front sight that comes on the target model MKII. I just looked at mine, and it will work-one screw and a little Loc-Tite. Nurmrich has them for about $20 :).

I bought this 10" Mk II used but in the original box. I don't know if the red ramp front sight was special order or not, but it looks factory. This one shipped in 1984.

Hi John: Mine is the Government Target Model which I bought "new Old stock" some years back. It does not have the red insert. That being said, at my age, I can't see the front sight very well even against a white target. So I'm going to buy a replacement with red insert like yours. :)
