Got some new nipples on the Ruger old army( not Tresos yet) and noticed a bit of improvement.Still the occational failure to ignite.Still useing CCI as I can't get any Remington just now. I think I need to clean the nipples each time with those interdental tooth brushes , they come in various sizes.That seemed to work.Number 11 caps fit the new nipples perfectly. Waiting for the Remington caps to arrive. Everyone seams to think they are the most suitable.Appart from that the gun is shooting Lee cast round ball accurately. Clover leaf patterns and all.

I shoot a stainless Old Army and was using CCI #11 caps, but occasionally I would get a misfire, no matter how hard I pushed on the cap to seat it on the nipple. I changed to Remington #11 caps which fit much easier and I have not had a single misfire since I started using them.
