Hi all,
I'm new to the forum (recently became a proud owner of my first smith, a 686 3"), this question isn't about smiths but with all the knowledge around here I figured this was the place to ask-
Last week I was at the range with my Ruger p94 9MM, and encountered a problem: I would pull the trigger all the way back to fire a round, but the hammer would not drop immediately. If I held it back long enough (about 1 second), the hammer would fall and the gun would fire. The hammer will come all the way back in DA mode, but just doesnt fall right away. It happens with dry fires as well, though it doesnt happen with every shot. I don't fire the gun often so I thought the problem could be fixed with a good cleaning and lubricating, but the problem persists.
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks for your help
