I'm looking for a D.O.B. for a Ruger Red Label .20 gauge o/u shotgun I put a deposit on yesterday the serial is in the
400-06xxx range. I know there are a lot of Ruger guy's on the forum so hopefully someone can help.
P/S it's in aprox. 95% + condition and I picked it up for $673.00 O.T.D. I think I did good.

Glad to help!

Mine was made in 1985 and it is a definite keeper. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I've got a 20 ga red label with a 400-series number. It is the sporting clays model with 30" barrels and I absolutely love it!!!.

I have one of the early ones with the blued receiver. Boy did I get a deal on it! Traded a deluxe straight grip Winchester 42 .410 even up!

Still hurts.

Yes, you did real good, nice gun at a very good price and should be a 1979 gun, you can call the records department at Ruger to get a more "exact" date (month & year)

as for "bigolddave" ouch, YES, that hurts indeed........oh my

I have one of the blued 20 gauges with mod/ic chokes. I purchased it in 84 or so

I take mine to South Dakota each year.

The limit is 3 birds per day. We were with a larger group and that was our total. We did that 3 days in a row. I have been hunting with the Mansheims for 14 years. The number of birds we see is staggering. They have a webpage and are located near Winner.
