I always enjoy the occasional music threads that pop up on this forum, so I hope my contribution here can provide some enjoyment for others.

While I've got well over 15 feet of bookshelf pace devoted to music history, rock history, musician biography, etc, and already knew of many of the major players, this 90-minute film shone light on aspects of blues and rock that I never knew existed.

A very well-researched and presented documentary here, I hope you find it as intriguing as I did. If you're a music nerd like me and haven't yet seen this, take some time and stream this one for free while it's still available:

Not familiar with all the names mentioned here, but if you like rock with native American influence I have a one-word recommendation: Kansas.
The lead singer, Steve Walsh, is native American and there is a lot of native American influence and themes in their music. Mother Nature Suite. Song for America. Cheyenne Anthem.
One of my all time favorite bands.

Thanks for the tip on the documentary. Going back to the turn of the 21st century, this NA rock band came out of literally nowhere with some great songs. Lots of hard guitar licks. I have some of their CDs. Check out the attached video of Indigenous, part of which was shot in the Badlands of western SD on or near the Pine Ridge Reservation.
