Did a 50 mile 6 hour ride with 8 other UTV's yesterday up into, through and over the Tortolito Mountains {about 30 miles north of Tu son}. Our ride leader knows these mountains like the back of his hand and led us on an epic ride. "Technical" is the generic term to describe this very difficult and demanding ride, steep with lots of loose rock but man oh man it is so worth the work for the views..
This shot was taken from near the top of the west face of the Tortolita's. That's Picacho Peak about 40 miles to the northwest at the center of the
pic.
Our fearless leader even took us to two Petroglyph sites that are obviously thousands foyers old... Awesome! Here is another shot from up on the pass looking back to the Catalina Mountains 30 miles to the east:
