I just got a Smith & Wesson model 10-6, 1970
2 " Barrel. Fired 14 times would say 99% was a safe queen. If gun was in mint condition what would value be of gun. Have original Box and Papers, cleaning rod and brush

I'd say just a little higher at 400 "give or take".
The box, docs and probably correct grips give it a push.
Who'd thought a Mod 10 would EVER be worth more than $200!?!

Not me. I still see occasionally the 4" standard barrels going for $250-275 around here though. That won't last long I betcha.

I've never seen a 2" 10-6 that I know of. I also still tend to think of M10's as $200 guns, though I know that is very obsolete. But in only 2007 I purchased a 4" 10-6 police trade in from Long Island through Auctionarms. With purchase price, shipping and transfer I have $155 in the gun. How things can change in two years.

I picked a model 10-6 heavy Bbl 4" for 175 just this Monday. Around here I have been seeing them go for 300 to 350. Model 10s with a 2 1/2 Bbl are kind of rare around here. I have not seen a used S&W revolver in a gun shop in months. BTW I also bought my first Model 15 at the same time for the same price.

I looked again and it is a 2" BDL model 10-6 called Smith & Wesson with serial number it was made in 1970. I will keep but wanted to know price for insurance purpose. I called back to S&W ask for price connected me to Roy He told me from $200 to $500 depending if gun was fired also condition, Box Papers, etc. I will say for insurance purpose $450. Gun is Mint but has been fired 14 times . There were 6 rounds that were not fired. He bought fired then put up.
Thanks

Odd that it's a 10-6. You'd think the 2" would be a 10-5 or a 10-7, since the 2" is NOT a heavy barrel. I have a 2" with box & papers but it's a 10-5.
