Picked up a really nice 1006 with adjustable sights yesterday with 1 mag for $625.

Sounds like a nice pick up. If you call or email customer support at S&W they can tell you the month and year. TEZxxxx guns date to 1990, so that's a start.
The 1006 was made from 1990-1993, so that's an early exaample.
If you plan to shoot it, which I presume you are, finding magazines could be challenging and expensive.

Not bad, about 1/2 price.
You made out like a fat rat on that one dude. Now the mag hunt ensues.
Mags are $100-200 ea. add 2-4 mags and you are up to value of pistol

Agreed; you literally stole it! Even though the AS models aren't as desirable as the FS models, that's a heck of a price.

That's a very good price for a 1006, what is the condition? I have one that I want to sell, very good condition with the original box and three magazines. I sure hope you enjoy the one you now have.
