I've only owned one 1911, along time ago, and it was a stainless S&W. I've been thinking of adding a 1911 to my collection, and stumbled across a Gunsite Edition.

Anyone know the value of one like this in good condition? Slight holster wear, but otherwise in good condition, no box.

Thanks in advance

We have one in the shop, NIB, 2 mags and box n docs. $1200. It has been there over a year. And I expect it will probably be there for another year. Hope this helps. Regards 18DAI

I'd say $650 if it's the older version, $800 if it's an E series and assuming 2 mags.

Holster wear is minimal, slight edge wear at muzzle end of the slide...thing that bummed me out is that there was no box. Can pick it up for $550, which seems reasonable.

Would this model have the firing pin safety?

I didn't know the Gunsite model was made in the E-series configuration. No matter. Just keep your gun clean. Either way, at $550 I would be a buyer if I could use it. Boxes are unimportant to me, unless the gun is so nice it could pass for like-new. Then, not having the box kind of hurts a little. ;)

I didn't know either that there was an E series version until I saw Google images. OP, lock the slide back and turn it over. Iirc, you will see the firing pin block plunger.
