I'm getting ready to buy my first 1911 style 45, smith's model #108303.
Anyone have any experience with this model, good or bad. I like the way it looks and feels but don't have any way to shoot one without buying. Thanks.

i have owned or at least shot most of the 1911's since the mid 1960's. Out of the box, my two are just amazing. I will get the new E series when they come out with the more traditional model.

Good Experiences!

I've got the 108293, the 5" rail gun with the Scandium frame, and the 108284, the 5" target gun with the stainless frame, and both are very accurate. Triggers are superb on all the S&W 1911's I've experienced.

Hope this helps!
