I picked mine up last Tuesday. Two short range sessions so far and I am really like it. It will probably become a primary carry gun. I will keep you posted. I should hit the range a couple more times next week. FWIW I would recommend it at this point.

picked up my 1911ta series e 300 rounds of anything it is flawless, got rid of a 3wk. old sig1911 target *** , also bough a ruger sr1911 also a excellent gun.

I've been carrying a S&W 1911 for 5 years, it's the best gun I've ever owned. I've got the 1911PD Scandium. I had a Colt Gold Cup 1911 which had nothing but problems and went back to Colt twice - the S&W is a much better weapon.

I just picked up my 1911eSC 2 days ago and love it. I've run about 100 rounds through it so far with no issues.

just put a down payment on the Model SW1911SC
E-Series™ - Round Butt, Scandium Frame melonite finish
Thanks to all of ya I'll send some pics as soon as I get it

I have the 1911SC commander size

To put it simply, it has become in 4 range sessions one of my very favorite guns.

It shot superbly right out of the box. Not a single FTF or FTE in the 500 or so rounds i have put through it. The bobtail fits perfectly in the palm. It is amazingly well balanced, especially with a full mag, which i was not expecting when compared to my Colt Combat Elite which i THOUGHT was well balanced in the hand. I wondered about recoil in the commander size with the lighter scandium frame. Simply not an issue. I shoot it as well or better than any other gun I own, including my treasured 39-2, 627PC and model 19-4.

As winter comes, along with more bulky clothing, i will likely be carrying it.

Oh, and it's PRETTY

Took my S&W 1911 SC E Series Bobtail two tone out last Saturday. My son had a 1 1/2" group at 7 yards. I was all over the place. He's 23 and I'm 62. Guess the gun is accurate. It's beautiful too. So happy that I bought the gun. Now I just have to learn how to shoot it.

The wife and I have had ours most of the year and put at least a 1000 through it, no real issues yet other than a couple screws working loose on the grips.

I've had the SS E series for about a year, awesome shooter ! I shoot mostly reloads but it eats everything I've fed it. The trigger is the biggest improvemnet over my previous S&W 1911. Good luck.
