I note with some interest a model 25 -2 listed for sale. Did these guns have any particular bugs or problems associated with them? Thanks. Neil

No really big issues; I have two of them and enjoy both. Most have cylinder throats that measure at least .453" and up. Some I've heard even have had .456" throats.

So, if you reload, you just get the .454" dia. bullets and go with it. They still shoot very nicely even with the large throats.

I've heard the Model 625 has .452" throats, but someone else will need to verify.

Shoot hardball

If you feed your 25-2 regular ordinary factory 230 gr. FMJ ammo you won't have any problem with the throats.....whatever size they are. Throats are difficult to measure accurately unless you have pin gauges. I sometimes wonder if 'over-sized throats' is an excuse for poor shooting.

The 25-2 and its predecessors were intended to be target guns in Bullseye competition. The expected ammo was hardball. When you use lead reloads in them you may or may not get poorer accuracy.
