S&W 29-2 serrated trigger: grind or replace?

ARGGHHH!

After all of that work I go to fit it and find that the nose of the trigger is too short to disengage the bolt stop/cylinder stop, so the action locks up.

Wish I could weld. I'd drop a 1/8" bead across that nose and then dress it with files/stones until it was just the right fit.

unfortunately mailing it to a welder, their setup time, the weld, and shipping it back- well, I could probably get a Powers Custom S&W revolver trigger for that price.

I like the serrated triggers. smooth triggers, though might be more liking for double action pull in a pinch, I am not in a pinch. I like the speech MsgGnySgt Plumly said to Lt Col Gibson in the movie: "Custer was a *****; You Aint."

I must take you to gentle task, my fellow Marine... Basil Plumley was a Sergeant Major in the movie, and retired a Command Sergeant Major.

Semper Fi.

Any military that needs eight different sergeants to keep things straight is very mixed up.

True, that is why the Marine Corps only has 7, unless you count the Sgt Major of the Marine corps as a separate rank. E5 Sgt, E6 SSgt, E7 GySgt, E8s MSgt and 1stSgt, E9s MGSgt and SgtMajor.

I have no clue how many the Army has.

If you have a .5 inch target trigger ,I can swap ya my smooth trigger off my 586.
It is close to .4 inch
I may even have a spare smoothie anyway
