I have a few Smith and Wesson Shotguns and have always enjoyed them very much. I used to get some good deals on them and always thought they were undervalued.
I owned this folder many years ago and recently had the opportunity to buy it back. It's in very nice shape and is a folder with a gloss blue finish it's not for everyone as some of my Officers think it's ugly they're more into synthetic newer shotguns which are nice but it takes all kinds to make the world go round. It will be my latest carry shotgun.

It's really a nice looking scatter gun, the folder looks funny but if it functions who cares, I'm more of an visual person and would need the stock to match the receiver....

I already had several configurations of the model 3000 and picked this one up in a pawn shop a few months ago for $225.00 OTD. I find them to be just as reliable as the 870.

The Connecticut State Police Swat Team carried Model 1500's and Model 3000's just like yours. I had the opportunity to be involved with them once. Those were really impressive. I'll be looking for one in Tulsa in September.

It is my understanding that these S&W shotguns are even better than the Remington 870s, because it's impossible to get them to "choke" by short-stroking the pump action. Earlier 870s could "choke" if you were too gentle during the pumping action. Bad jam, bad guy flees, not good...

I've never seen one of those before. (This rock I live under is heavy!!) That's a badd shotgun; I'd love to have one at home. I'll be looking for one when I go out & about. What do they hold quantity wise in shells? If I'm a burgler, I don't care what it looks like; it's that big hole in that pipe pointing at me.

I was looking also and didn't find it this year. I did find two, a five shot and an eight shot, there in November 2019 and bought both of them for $150.00 each. They bring a little more now...when you can find them.

When the night suddenly gets dark and cold, do you want to be holding onto a skinny model made out of plastic? No. You want the husky chick from down the street who can fight. Sure, her nose is crooked, but she's got a mean left hook!:D:D:D

Nice gun. Nothing wrong with that, at all.
