I just purchased a S&W 32 Lemon Squeezer from a friend of mine. The serial # is 132142 can anyone help me identify the year of production? Where I can obtain ammo? or what ammo is safe to shoot in it? Thanks 11258045_457120051114384_3030572246356217052_n.jpg

That one should be a 32 Safety, Second Model, shipped from the factory in 1905, so it is considered a "modern" firearm by the BATF. Probably the most often found ammunition for this revolver is made by Remington. You want to look for 32 S&W and it will work just fine in that early Twentieth century Safety.

Thanks for the information! Now to find some ammo!!

Check either small local gun shops or gun shows. I have ran across 32 S&W ammo at both within the last month. There always seems to be some availalbe at online sites if you spend some time online searching. You will have to pay high shipping costs, but at least you might be able to find some online quickly. Make sure you find 32 S&W, since there are other calibers that can be confusing. 32 Long, 32-20, 7.65×17, 32 H&R Mag, and 32 ACP are around for sale, but do not fit your gun.

I just checked and found that Gander Mountain online store shows this caliber in stock. Good luck.

Thanks glowe for all your help I will order that ammo. what do you think this 1905 S&W 32 is worth? I am not really sure what I paid for it I bundled it with a 98 mauser that had been punched out to a 30-06. Thanks Robby

it is quite difficult to assess the value with just one picture, but the gun looks solid with finish wear. If so, probably $200 would be a ballpark value. If better than 60%-70% original finish, then higher value.

Thanks again that is about what I figured the gun looks to be in great shape considering it's age I ordered the ammo can't wait to shoot it. I think I might give it to my father for fathers day.

Midway was out of stock I ordered the 4 boxes from gander i will check the next gun show I am sure I will find more. Thanks for all your help...
