S&W 3913/3914 Magazine Markings

I have been looking at acquiring a few used S&W 3913/14 magazines while they're still "under a hundred bucks." I've notice different markings at the bottom of the mag body. Most are of the stainless steel variety. Is there any difference in or advantage to those marked SM, S, or M?
